When creating a consignment there may be occasions where it's dead weight is different (lower) than its volumetric weight. This will be the case for less dense shipments. An obvious example would be a box containing feathers.

 

The volumetric weight of a consignment can be calculated automatically for you using the built-in calculator. All you need do is measure your consignment and record its dimensions as below.
